SalesForce Integration

The client is one of the nation’s largest providers of group benefits. Their CRM is SalesForce, and they wanted to integrate leads from their website into their sales pipeline.

Challenge

The client only wanted valid (non-spam) contacts added to SalesForce. Capcha or honeypot measures would still allow bots to submit bogus data into their CRM.

Solution

The lead collection form was built with GravityForms, and we created a custom plugin to intercept the form submission. We then passed the email to a third-party service for email verification. If they came back as “clean”, we then created the lead in SalesForce using their API.

If the email verification came back as inconclusive, we bypass adding the lead to SalesForce, and email the client for manual review.
